Behind the stitches: the making of the Coastline Mini Dress
Sometimes, the best designs happen in a flash. That’s exactly how the Coastline Mini Dress came to life. One day, the idea hit me — simple, relaxed, and perfect for summer. I immediately knew I had to make it, and there was no waiting around. I grabbed my yarn and started knitting right away. No complicated sketches, no long planning sessions — just pure, instinctive creativity. I knit for about two weeks, getting lost in the rhythm of the stitches. Every row felt like the dress was coming to life, and before I knew it, the whole design was complete. The beauty of it lies in its effortless flow, with just the right fit and drape that makes it as comfortable as it is chic. The process was fast and spontaneous, and I loved every minute of it. That’s the magic of knitting — sometimes, the best pieces just have to be made in the moment. The Coastline Mini Dress pattern is now available, and I’m thrilled to share it with you. I hope it brings you the same joy it brought me while creating it

Put a little marker in the fabric where you increased or decreased. That way, you can just count the markers instead of trying to figure it out later. 4. Make a note when you stop. Finished knitting for the day? Write down what you just did or where you left off. That way, when you come back, you’ll know exactly where to pick up. 5. Read ahead before starting. T
