As a test knitter, you’ll receive a free copy of the pattern and get early access to upcoming designs. In return, I ask that you:
Knit the pattern as written and share feedback on clarity, errors, or suggestions
Stick to the deadline we agree on
Communicate throughout the process if anything is unclear
Share a few high-quality photos of your finished project (optional, but always appreciated!)
Most importantly, enjoy the experience!
I place extra value on test knitters with open knitting-related Instagram accounts that feature clear, high-quality photos, as well as active Ravelry profiles. These platforms help showcase your beautiful work and support the pattern release.
Depending on the project, there may be a yarn discount available through the yarn company—but sometimes, test knitters will need to provide their own yarn. I always make sure to share all the details in advance, so you can decide what works best for you before committing to a test knit.
